Week 9 (9/25 - 10/1)

 This was a busy week of appointments.  But here we are beside the condo pool, relaxing.

  I could spend a lot of time on this photo.  If you look at Aldo's thigh, you'll see two of his three "badges".  This was about an hour after receiving his first immunization shots; an hour spent almost exclusively breast feeding for comfort.  We're in the video store here where I am picking up several DVDs for myself, to watch while I hold Aldo through whatever follows.  He slept on me and nursed through two movies, with two very depressing bouts of cries of pain.  These were cries I'd not yet heard from him...so sad.  On the second bout I decided to give Aldo children's Tylenol, even though a study suggests doing so may weaken the effect of the shots.  He slept on my chest the rest of the night but by 1 a.m. he was all better, and cooing once again. 

 Heather and Clare at Grace's 4th Birthday party at Commons Beach in Tahoe City.  Auntie Heather and Uncle Johnny held Aldo quite a long time and Aldo finally met some of my other friends.  The "mermaids and princesses" party was great, especially Clare's chocolate cake!

  We continue to get out on the bike.  We now ride into Squaw, check out the view, then return home.  Here's a picture of the setup.  Below, Aldo is waking from his two hour nap/ride.
