Weeks 22, 23 (Dec 31 to Jan 13)
Aldo and I had a much nicer experience on our second and subsequent ski adventures. I really bundled him up and I made use of the wind shield over the carrier. Here we are at the upper intersection of the blue and green trails. We fortuitously ran into Heather, along with Webster (pictured) and Kenya, who took this photo before continuing on her skate of the dog loop .
To put any further ski stories in context, here is the link to the trail map at Tahoe XC. http://www.tahoexc.org/images/trailmap_wide.jpg
Aldo and I had a blast practicing his sitting up while on the safety of a soft mattress to catch his fall. Pictured farther below is one of Aldo's very successful attempts.
I just love this little outfit which I purchased at Gymboree. Near G'Ma Pat's, at the Folsom outlet mall, we have both Carters and Gymboree... and they are next door to each other, which is quite convenient. The shoes are from Ruffles and Ruffnecks in Tahoe City - SO CUTE!
Here is Aldo playing in his new exersaucer, a gift from GMa and GPa Mitchell for Christmas. He is in heaven. His only complaint is that he can't get the pieces into his mouth despite trying again and again.
Below is a picture from one of our typical walks to Skylandia Park and the pier. The weather has been in the single digits over night but fairly warm - around freezing - during the days. The mountains are holding the snow from the December storms.
Here Uncle Johnny and Aldo discuss .... sports? skiing?
I wasn't as industrious as usual during this particular J&H visit, however, I managed to get a few chores done. As always, many thanks to my helpers.
The shirt in this photo was a Christmas present from Aunt Audra and says 'Snow Dawg' with an image of a dog snowboarding. I like this shirt as it is thick and long - perfect for winter, perfect for Aldo.

Aldo is still suffering from his teething and still has no teeth. When will they finally appear?!? Actually, it should be very soon so keep checking in. The solid food experiment was helping with our sleeping issues but created a new issue - the unmentionable sticky poop, which I won't go into detail about. Just the same, we are back to just mother's milk until Aldo's 6 month birthday.
